Standby problems...

Hello everyone. I am having some problems with a new build. The build consists of an Antec Sonata II case with 450w power supply, MSI K9NBPM2-FID socket AM2, 2gb Kingston HyperX DDR2 800, AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ Windsor, running Windows VISTA. The problem is when the computer goes into standby mode it does not come back on successfully. The screen displays a strange cascading effect of the same graphic and the system locks up. I tried changing the settings from s1 to s3 and the problem only got worse, no display graphic and the system would not even try to attempt to start. I actually had to clear the CMOS to get it up and running again. I am using the onboard graphics set at 128mb. Any suggestions???
