upgrading to Core 2 Duo, can I keep my RAM?
My setup as follows:
Pentium D 960 @ stock 2.6 Ghz ASUS P5LD2 Mobo 2 GB Corsair XMS2 240-pin DDR2 675 (PC5400) Dual Channel Kit I would like to upgrade to a Core 2 Duo E6600 (when prices drop) along with an ASUS P5W or equivalent motherboard, but I'd like to know if I can use my current RAM with this upgrade? Thanks for the help. |

Absolutely. That's a pretty good quality RAM, should work just fine

You can get the retail version of that board from mWave for less than the OEM version at Newegg.
(I just did.) |

What's the difference between retail and OEM version?
Also, am I limited to running an ATI card or can I use my nVIDIA 7900GT? I am not running SLI. Last edited by kentuckyser; 04-16-2007 at 05:59 PM. |
