What should I trust for my Temperature readings?

I enabled the in game readings for Rivertuner for temps and memory readings and so on. I have a Asus mobo and have been using the utility that supplied for my temp readings. Rivertuner is giving me alot higher reading than the Asus program. I'm oc my computer I want to know what you guys think I should trust.

Thanks,
Jerome

well i have an asus and i think the AI suite is not a good place to get your temps. instead i usually open up my bios and check under the third tab then hardware management this should have a more precise reading.

I have done that but can't see what the temps will be under a load. I like to see how high it gets when playing games or heavy processing. I based my OC temps on the Asus reading but got concerned when I saw the RiverTuner readings.

You can still see your basic load temperature in the BIOS, just reboot right after playing something for a long time. The temp can't decrease by more then a few degrees in 30 seconds.
