Honeywell deskfan in my comp =]

Alright, well I finally had a free weekend from baseball and I had decided that it was time for some better temps. I purchased a honeywell deskfan from my hardware store for 16.99.

I took the case off of the fan (pain cuz it had torx screws, imagine that!), drilled 2 holes in my case to have it hang from, moved the cables to have them not be hit by the fan and viola!

Temps are amazingly lower.

TEMPS:
CPU: 33C idle, 35C load
MB: 31C constant
GPU: 51C idle 55C load!!!

This is with the fan running at high, which really isnt as loud as you think, it's very tollerable.

If enough people are interested in how I did this I'll right up a tut and show you some pictures.

Tom =]

lol! That sounds pretty cool. (No pun intended)

Could you post some pics up of it? I'm having a hard time visualizing a desk fan mounted to a case. I keep thinking of those fans on a stand that scan the room. lol

I'm not interested in a tutorial, but I would like to see some pictures of this thing.

And what does "Teh" mean? ("Teh Beast")
