iRiver mp3 player - need software

I have this really old iRiver mp3 player (256MB) and I lost the CD it came with the software to load the songs onto it. I checked out the iRiver website but couldn't find any download links for said software plus I don't even know its model. Is there any free software that I can use with this?

Thanks in advance.

Does the player not have the model number printed on it somewhere? When you connect the player, does it appear in 'My Computer' as a removable drive? If so, you may simply be able to drag and drop songs to it.

Hey, glad to see someone else out there has an iriver. Firswt, it is not just a drag and drop software. You need to go to the iriver website, www.iriveramerica.com then at the top go to the suppot tab and drag down to the one labeled ultra portable support. From there it will take you to a page that has a bunch of different pictures that you should be able to find a player there to match yours.

I hope you get it working.

I had the 128mb versio of one of those badboys, but it finally died on me about 6 months ago. They're really cool. Good luck with that!
