Angry Fire DVD ROM problem

Hi,
My DVD ROM Drive "E" ( a Liteon JLMS' XJ-HD165H) keeps asking for a disc to be inserted and when I do it still comes up with the same request. Any ideas please!!

Make sure all cables are securely connected, install known working power and IDE cables, clean the drive's lens, check that the media works in another drive, and check if the drive works in another system.
If no luck, then the drive is probably bad..
