Drive slite in two

Guys I have the weirdest thing happen to my hard drive , for some reason my 160G drive C drive decided to cut 21G and make it look like its own drive. Dos anyone know why the drive would want to split like that. Im using Win Xp Pro SP2

It didn't do it by itself....What is the history behind this? Did you recently re-install the OS?

Well I wiped an external drive I had because I was giving it to someone and didnt want anything to ever be dug up from my old drive but I didnt do anything with my C drive it just started doing this splite thing. Iv never seen anything like it.......
