joystick software?

I have a Microsoft Precision Pro joystick, a wonderfully durable piece of hardware that I've had for 10 years, but the last drivers were for Win98. It works in XP, but the software that lets you program the buttons doesn't work. Some of my games don't allow programming within. does anyone have any ideas? I've googled around, but can't seem to find anything.

Your only options are to either use it with Win 98, or get an XP compatible joystick.
