Your opinion on HP 4550 printer ?

I'm thinking of buying one of these (used) color lasers for
some friends to print labels for the soaps and body lotions
they make. Is it too old ? Good for a few years more ?
Thanks

The older color lasers are high maintenance. I'd recommend a new entry level one. The 1600 is less than $300 and the 2600N with internal print server is less than $400.

Thanks ! I'll look at those along with the 2605 that someone recommended.

It seems like the best deal is on the 2605DTN right now. The D mean duplexing. The N means that it has an internal NIC and the T I always forget. HP has them online with a $125 instant rebate and free shipping on their site now, only $75 more than the 2600N.

The "T" is for a second or extra-large paper tray (don't remember which). Besides duplexing, the 2605dn/2605dtn is also faster.
