PC Crashes when Using The Internet

Hey Guys!

I have a Pentium 4 PC and i use dial up at the moment and i plan to use 3G later in the year....The problem im having is that when i use the internet for few minutes and whether i open 2 tabs on my browser either on IE 7 or Firefox 2, my PC would then crash and mostly if im using the internet sometimes when clicking on pages nothing will happen and if i try to download something again my PC would crash and i would then have a black screen, after rebooting i get this error:

BCCode : 10000012 BCP1 : 00000002 BCP2 : 8001003B BCP3 : 00000000
BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1

and when i click for more info i would get these 2 directory that the error has been logged

C:\DOCUME~1\MYTACY~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERdc8e.dir00\Mini090807-04.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\MYTACY~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERdc8e.dir00\sysdata.xml

I tried to access these 2 files but i dont know what to do....I suspect there might be some offending software. I tried downloading WinDbg from Microsoft but i dont know how to use it to track the offending software or what to do for that matter......

I would appreciate any help from you Guys!

Cheers

Brian

From what I have read you appear to have a hardware problem.
Can you give us your full system hardware specifications and what operating system you are using?

Disable Zonealarm in the Startup tab when you run MSCONFIG. The latest version of Zone Alarm has had some issues. You can enable Windows Firewall for the extra protection.

you could have a virus...... you say when you install Nero 7, Kaspersky Anti Virus and ZA firewall and windows update patches that it crashes... so i am thinking that one of the softwares are your problem.....

Those are not viruses - those are dump files.

There is no reason to delete them. He won't be able to anyway since Windows deletes them soon after they are created.

Try deleting your cached files first. I would suspect possibly a bad stick of RAM or that PCChips motherboard although ZA is one of the other likely candidates.

Do you also get any stop errors?
Do you have MS Word installed? If so open it and see if you get the same error. I once had something like this that was caused by a bad printer driver.

Look in your event logs and see if there are any additional info on the errors. If there is post it back here or google it.

I don't like PC Chips motherboards but if your's was faulty it probably wouldn't work at all.
Try some harddrive diagnostics that you can download from the manufacturers site.
You didn't say what make of RAM you have but again try running memtest on it.
Do you have another dialup modem you could swap in to test?

Try uninstalling this software one at a time to see if that cures the problem.

BC error codes are very often a hardware issue, I am guessing bad RAM or a driver conflict, possibly with your modem as the machine works fine when not on the internet.
