Ink Blockage.
I have an Epson Photo 830 printer, which I only use occasionally. Today it wasn't printing properly so I went through the normal process of using the head cleaning facility and printing a nozzle check several times.
All the colours except one print perfectly when I do a nozzle check now. On that one no ink comes out at all. I have put a new cartridge in but the problem remains I presume there is a blockage, could someone tell me how to sort this. Many thanks hajach Last edited by hajach; 09-15-2007 at 10:30 AM. |

Hi Ski, printing a web page of mainly text, it performs ok, but when printing pictures it is obvious there is a colour missing.

If the new cartridge is fresh, then here are some tips on cleaning the print head:

As an aside, I gave up on my C86 - I don't use it much but when I need to use it, I want it to work. I just ran it out of ink trying to get the heads cleared the other day - the thing uses more ink just to clear the heads than it uses to print. I just treated myself to a color laser.

It's too bad - for pure print quality, you cannot beat an Epson. They are just such ink hogs and pains to keep running.

Right off the bat, I noticed that my photo quality was better.
(older epson )(hehe, max. dpi setting makes my documents look like they came from a laser) yay....my epson was so bad, it decided to block all color and all black ink> ahh to see ink cartriges explode>
