After you boot up, go to your vid card's display options. Most cards have hotkeys that rotate the screen, so 20 bucks says thats the problem. You'll have to navigate menus upside down, but it should work just fine.

I've been through this before. Use the keyboard or you will go insane trying to mouse through the menus. LOL

Try holding CTRL+ALT and pressing one of the arrows (up or down).

Tell him to turn his monitor upside down... that's the obvious solution.

DEpends on the software for your vid card. On mine after right-clicking on the desktop, go to Properties then Settings then Advanced and then Rotation. It's an ATI chipset.
Hard to do it by accident.
Dell laptops will do it with a key combination, possiibly the CTRL-ALT + an arrow like mentioned

Have you guys tried hitting the Esc key?

Try jamming the cursor into the upper left or right corner of the screen. If a menu pops up, choose Exit or End...could be a joke applet.

I have a customer with integrated Intel video - she accidentally hit the hotkey combination to rotate 180 degrees. When I went over and stood her monitor upside down to work on it, she laughed her butt off.
