Drive differences?

This is related to another thread of mine but I wanted to post this question in the appropriate forum.

Are there any appreciable differences between the following drives other than a couple milliseconds in seek time and different warranties?

Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD5000AAKS 500GB

Western Digital Caviar RE2 WD5000ABYS 500GB

I can't find any benchmarks of either of these drives. I ended up with one of the Seagate 7200.10 drives with AAK firmware and the performance is very poor. Are either of these WD drives a good choice? I'm looking to buy something this weekend. I'm going to put the Seagate in an external enclosure.

The RE2 is a RAID-duty drive and the SE16 should perform better as a standalone in a workstation.
