Recuring mouse problem
I have a Dell Dimension 4500. For some strange reason my mouse will work fine, then stop working. I did a fresh reinstall of XP Home and the mouse works, then stops for no apparent reason. I tried different USB connections and the drivers installed OK. I also tried the mouse on other machines and it works OK. Then tried different mice and they didn't work either. I'm stumped, anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

I'd uninstall any "special" drivers and let XP find it as a regular mouse to see if that'll fix it. Often drivers to use special buttons / combinations can act goofy...

I agree with Two Rails. Uninstall any Pointing Device Drivers you've installed. Is this a regular USB Mouse?

I haven't installed any special drivers. It's just a regular Logitech 3 button USB optical mouse.
