Webcams

I just purchased a notebook with a built it webcam. I would like to find out how to get the cam and software to where we can video chat with my family out of State. How do I do that and what free video software is good to use? I need some thing easy so that Grandma can get it loaded on her computer as well so we can video chat?

Send a message via AIM to Alaron
Skype is popular: www.skype.com Very simple to register and use. Many of the instant messenger services have webcam capability too if you're familiar with one.

Ok I tried to download Skype but it does not work with Vista.

"You need a PC running Windows 2000 or XP. Start download again, if it didn't start automatically."

What now?

You could probably try any of the instant messengers out there. They should all work. Just use which ever one you might already have an email with to make it easier, or make a new account.

It should be easy to set up.
