Laser mouse tracking halp

Purchased the Logitech MX 400. Look pretty nice and all and tracking is pretty nice also.

Just one problem. My other mouse is the Microsoft Comfort 3000 Optical. Whenever I lift the head of the 400 up liek half a centimeter and move it around, the cursor ALSO move around, which is something that I DO NOT WANT. The optical does not move when I do that, so yay.

Have not install any software from the mouse yet, just checking craftsmanship again. Is this something that the software could eliminate or something that has to do w/ the mouse, lazer?

You might have to just lift it a bit higher.
