yo, just got my rig together and want to start overclocking, i know the basics, like changing the vcore, and frequencies.
i want to try and get my e6600 from stock 2.4 to around 3.0-3.2GHz just want to know if there are any tryed and tested settings.? i have - e660 asus striker extreme 2 Gig corsair xms2 dhx 800MHz 5-5-5-15 650W psu 2 x BFG 8600GTS oc in sli i have a watercooled system so i dont think heat is much of a problem, at the moment my idle temp is 21 oc under load it can reach 27 ![]() thanks |

You should be able to get it to 3 GHz by simply increasing the FSB. You may have to raise the Vcore SLIGHTLY.
