Upgrade Question

Hey guys , I wana upgrade my CPU , currently I have a E6600 running @3.4ghz.....

My motherbourd is a P5B Deluxe and Im running DDR 667 Ram

now my question is:

Will the Motherbourd take the new intel processors? quad cores?

also , is their no ways I can go SLI and add anather 8800gts? cos it does have 2 PCI express slots.....

on a side note , iv seen images of sli and I can see a little "link" or adapter that connects the two GPU cards together , do you need that for SLI? , where do you get that adapter from?

I will be wanting to OC my CPU , soo perhaps ill need to upgrade my ram?? soo i can oc better?

peace

Your board does indeed support the Quad Cores. You can find the whole list here: http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/c...Language=en-us

You cannot use SLI on that board. But we don't recommend SLI anyway. The bridge adapter comes with SLI motherboards. And I believe the newer boards don't require the bridge, it works via software.

If you're looking to overclock and have a new CPU, I'd bump your RAM up a step to DDR2-800.
