CD and CD Burner Drives Gone
Everything was working fine earlier, but I just put a CD in to play, in the CD drive, and it was gone, as was the other CD drive(a burner). Went to Device Manager, found each drive had the yellow question mark. Each drive properties showed proper drivers installed, but unable to locate hardware. Also, get this message:Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but cannot find the hardware device. (Code 41).I uninstalled both drives, and upon reboot, got same thing-2 yellow question marks, etc. Am going to run a virus scan, but thought I'd ask here for any suggestions. Thanks. BTW- XP Pro/SP2, 768RAM.
