new hard drive
I just installed a new hard drive on my computer and during the os install from the cd , the install keeps starting over . The os is xp pro . I have done this several times on my other pc with xp home ed . The install process goes all the way to where it is restarting the computer and all the settings screen should start but it goes back to the original detecting hardware screen like its starting over again . What should i do now , this is a first .

What kind of computer is this? Home built or name brand store bought?
What are the complete system specs including the power supply? What kind of hard drive is this? IDE? SATA? Brand and model? Are you using a genuine MS OS CS? Or a burned copy? Cricket
