HD Light is active even when nothing is going on.

Tunr on my system and just leave it there w/ the desktop. Pretty much killed all exe except the few essential one like nVidia, avg etc. Even hough I got nothing running, the HD Led keep on flashing even as if it loading something.

I recently switched my Pwr LED wire to my HD connector; the original HD LED is barely any good. Since the switch, the brighter Pwr LED, now HD LED, is constantly active-flashing, strobing etc.

So is that normal?

Do you have the Indexing Service running on your hard drives?

If you go in the properties on your hard drive in My computer at the very bottom there is a check box for indexing.

Index creates a faster way to search your drive.

If you search for files it may be slower.
