Crosshair MOBO PCI x16 issues
So ive got a asus crosshair mobo, 2 8600gts's, an amd x2 6000+, and 2gb corsair dominator ram; it seems like the system only works if I put only one card in the upper(farthest from cpu) pci express slot. When I tried to put both cards in at once, not even with sli or anything, no visual output... (i did notice that both gpu cooler's fan's were working). If i run it with just the one card, all is well - image output and booting . all the outputs on the graphics cards are dvi and i have my monitors set to dvi, but nothing happens with both cards, or with a single card in the 'wrong' slot. pls help me, cause im starting to get pissed at my crosshair mobo - i think that its the issue . . . . . .
thanks in advance |

Ya, my psu is fine, its a thermaltake 700W tough-power - it should have no problem handling dual 8600gts's

Check through your motherboard manual for SLI. You may have to enable it on the board with a jumper and/or in the BIOS.
