Should I Modify My Case?

I have a Xion Onyx, 2 x 120mm fans, 1 x 140mm fan. Was wondering, should I modify my case to add possibly another fan or two? Or completely upgrade my case and get another? So far it's performing okay, but I worry about it sometimes seems like I could get way better performance out of a different case possibly Antec 900 for just a little more money.

What do you think? Mod case, leave it alone or get Antec 900 possibly in the future...

Is it even good to change cases?

Are you having system temperature problems?
You know the old saying.........."If it ain't.............."
Unless you feel like just getting a new case.
Then, that would be up to you!

With two 120mm fans and one 140mm fan you have a small wind tunnel on your hands, why do you want to add more fans?

Why? What's wrong with the case you have now?

Are you overclocking? Is that what you mean when you say you could get way better performance?

Again, is there something wrong with your current case?

If your current case isn't doing something that you want it to, then yes, get a new one. Did you run out of drive bays? Is your current one falling apart?

Changing the case won't make your computer run faster.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

It's just that with all my other stuff in there, 8800 GT, C2D 6750, 2gb etc... the fans don't seem to cut it.

They were keeping the case cold and were sucking a lot of air before now they're weak.

I guess I'll just change fans... and get a cpu cooler.

Thanks.

Do you clean the dust off the fan openings and fan blades regularly? If the case uses fan filters, they need to be cleaned very often.

It's brand new, so no dust yet and I make sure to keep it away from dust and to clean it out if I see dust.

I'll just get a CPU cooler for now, since that makes the biggest difference in temps stock fans will have to do for now they aren't bad but they aren't great.

If this computer is brand new how can the fans be "weak" already?

the 2 x 120mm fans are good I won't have to worry about them they do their job but the 140mm only cools like a fresh blow of air from your mouth.

The bad thing is, there aren't much 140mm's on the market that are good.

Under 40C while under load is very good already...getting to run at a lower temp (20's - 30'sC) won't make the CPU run any better. You may prolong it's life expectancy, but you'll upgrade or build a whole new computer long before the CPU is ready to die from use.
