AMD Phenom(AM2+) SLI motherboard?

Does anyone know of one in existence, or of any that are definitely going to be coming out soon? I know it wouldn't be a bad idea just to go with intel CPUs, but because AMD is generally cheaper, and the fact that they're pretty much the only competition to intel, I prefer to buy their CPUs (but not radeon).

As a side note, does anyone know of any processor manufacturers other than intel or AMD (not including power pc, whoever they are)?

Well, the Phenom is suppose to work with all AM2 sockets so a standard Asus M2N-SLI Mobo might handle it. On the other hand I have been reading alot of people are having problems with the "suppose" to work concept. At this time I have not heard of any SLI boards being specifically developed for the Phenom, for the most part the new boards I have seen are comming out for the new Spider Platform which uses ATI in Crossfire.

i would definitely rather have a mobo specified for AM2+, also was hoping to get the phenom with the L3 cache on it.

Was also wondering if anyone knows the specific benefits of L3 cache?

AMD has a list of compatible Phenom motherboards,The Asus Crosshair 590 SLi and the Asus M2N- 570 SLi probably the only two certified motherboards that Support Phenom SLi.

All others are unknown. And no, SLi Am2+ motherboards will not come out until the Nvidia 790a comes...IF it comes..

There are currently NO AM2+ SLI motherboards available. But you must remember that the Asian world is still celebrating the Chinese New Year and will be until Feb 11. So NOTHING new from any Asian manufacteur until late Feb at the earliest. If you need to upgrade before then then Intel is the only option ... cough ... choak ....
