I bought a generic PC two years ago, its in one of those cheap full tower. I would like to move it to the mid tower because the tower is too high for my PC cart. Besides, I don't need that many slots. It is a celeron system. Any suggestions as to what kind of tower to get? Are the towers selling in Micro-center any good? Also, how do I go about moving the components, anything I should be aware of? Thanks.

Hi Infojunkie,
The Enlight 7237 is a very good mid-tower...very popular too. See if you can locate a shop near you that carries it or try on-line. Newegg.com has it for $47. If you search around, you might be able to find a on-line vendor that has a free shipping special. I've used the Antec KS382 (W=7.76", H=16.5", D=16.6") with good results. It's a nice case that comes with a Antec 250 watt power supply (more than enough for a Celeron), good quality construction and a few nice features. CompUSA usually has them in stock for $59.99. If you can tolerate the noise the cases from 3DCool are well made and have good power supplies.

If you are just looking for a decent, cheap case, check out the Genica that Computer Geeks sells. Can't beat it for less than $20, it comes with an el cheapo Genica power supply, but I ran a P3 800 with it with no problems. Just be aware that if you are looking for a quality built case, this IS NOT IT! It is a good CHEAP case, ie, it will get the job of housing all your parts done.

I'll second the Enlight 7237. I used them for years, a quality case at a good price.

I have an Inwin Q500 full size tower. It has some very nice features, like a removable motherboard tray and easy removable harddrive rack, for example. I was going to buy the A500 which is the mid-tower version with the same features, but instead went with the Enlight 7237. The mounting system on the 7237 uses rails mounted to the drive and then the drive slides in and out of the case. So, I recommend an Inwin or Enlight. The Inwin is a little cheaper and just as good as an Enlight.
