Does case size matter?

Like the title goes but I am just wondering if I should get a full tower instead of the tower I have chosen:
Antec P182 Gun Metal Black 0.8mm cold rolled steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129025

I have not bought anything yet I am just taking some precautions before I make my first computer.

It would depend on the room you have for the case, and if you can fit everything you want in it.

Things that could affect that are, aftermarket heatsinks can be big, and video cards are usually big. Also a factor is how many drives you want to put in and use.

I haven't heard about anyone having a problem with that case though.

Matter in terms of what? The size of the case doesn't affect the performance of the computer...a bigger case won't make the computer run faster or better.

Full tower cases will hold more drives than a standard mid-tower and will have better cooling because of the increased volume of air inside, but do you really want something that big?

And with full tower cases you may need to use power cable extenders if the power cables from the power supply can't reach your drives or other components.

And you may need to get extra long data cables for your drives because the top most drives will be very far away from the motherboard.

I'd stick to the Antec P182.

Ty

alright well thanks
I was only considering a full tower because of the better cooling but I think ill stick to my mid tower now.

There are also some longer graphics cards and PSU's that will not fit in a typical midtower case. There is also some watercooling units that require a full tower...but it sounds like you do not need a full tower.
