So I just finished setting up a new computer and I was going to turn my old computer into a server. I put my Raptor X and 250GB Seagate SATA drive in my new computer and the other 250GB and my 500GB Seagate SATA drives in the server. When I got the server up and running with the OS installed on the 250GB, the 500GB's name has changed to Local Disk. It also shows up in the disk manager as unformatted, 100% unused. I tried putting it in my new computer to see if that would help, but it shows up exactly the same way. Is there anything, aside from sending it to a data recovery place, that I can do to recover everything that is on that hard drive? Both computers are running XP x64, the 500GB did come out of a computer that was running 32-bit XP Pro, but I don't see how reinstalling 32-bit and trying again would help. Please help me out here, really need to get this working.

I figured out a solution. The problem was with the volume information not being recognized for whatever reason, probably something that happened while I was transferring the hard drive from one computer to the other. I am running testdisk now and copying all of the folders that have the data I need. My other hard drives worked fine when migrating from 32 to 64 bit, that isn't the issue, as I previously thought it may have been.
