PSU right above CPU fan

This is a two part question. I just ordered a Thermalake 430w PSU with dual fans on Amazon for the computer I'm building. It has 2GB DDR2 RAM, Intel Quad-Core CPU, 400GB Hard Drive, DVD-RW Drive, MSI NVidia GeForce 8400.

The case I purchased is small and the CPU fan lies literally right below the inside PSU fan. Is there a chance this may overheat the PSU? Secondly, I don't plan to do much gaming on my unit...is 430w enough power?

430 W of power should be sufficient for what you have. I don't see how a fan will overheat your PSU? Most cases have fan mounts directly below the PSU anyways so you need not worry.

If the PSU was from FSP or Sparkle then I would say it's big enough. Thermaltakes PSUs are OK for an average desktop PC but your build would be pushing the Thermaltake.
As for the CPU being close to the PSU fan, that's is OK. The PSU fans will exhaust the heat out of the case from the CPU.

I used an online calculator that told me my setup would require at least a 398w Power Supply. I also have a 600W Xcase power supply (it has one giant internal fan and no fan on the back)... I have a hunch that the Thermaltake would be better.
