My notebook motherboard is a Hannstar J MV-4 90v-0 0504. I have a problem with one of the mosfet transistors near the CPU. It is marked as PD24 on the MB. The marking on the Transistor is
SM514F 1040D1. This component has burnt out and needs replacement. I cannot find it any where. I would like some one to enlighten me on: 1. its manufacturer; 2. its datasheet; 3. its equivalent replacement if the transistor is no longer available: 4. technical info for it Last edited by avdbapss@hotmail.com; 03-17-2008 at 02:39 AM. |

I really wouldn't bother trying to replace FETs on a motherboard, usually they blow because of a fault somewhere else. Not to mention the huge trouble removing it without damaging surrounding components. And the multilayer PCB will make things much worse. You would be better off sourcing a new motherboard.
PS: It's not asvisable to use your email address as your username, people with no lives who search the net for emails to spam may target it.
