Pentium D being a pain

I just got my new rig put together about a week ago, and everything is running really smooth. The processor is a Pentium D 930 @3.00ghz with an Asus PK5-E/Wifi mobo. The RAM is CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400). Since everything was going good, I figured try to overclock it. I have it now at 3.54ghz. When I push it past that, it boots till the Windows loading bar comes up, and right before it lets me sign in, it gives me the blue screen for about 1/2 a second, and restarts. I really have no idea what I'm doing. What settings will I have to change to overclock it to about 4.00ghz. I have the ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm cooler, so heat isn't too much of an issue. Thanks.

FSB-238
DRAM-716
Timing-5-5-5-15
Vcore-1.3875v
DRAM-2.05v

Have you checked what the max temps and voltage can be for that chip?

Have you been monitoring the temps while overclocking?

What is the ram set to?

Have you tested for stability?

What programs are you using for temps, and stability testing?

There was a major typo. It's not 3.8...v for the Vcore, it's 1.3875v.

Just checked the Intel sight.

1.Voltage Range- 1.25V-1.4V
Thermal Specification- 63.4°C

2.I've been using FanSpeed while stress testing with Orthos. The full load temps high temps are mid to high 40's, idle is 33-35ish.

3. Ram is set to 716mhz with voltage at 2.05v

It looks like you have the vcore set way higher then it should be.

Do you have vdroop or vdrop? If so, how bad is it?

How long have you ran oprthos at those settings?

Also, not sure about how acurate fanspeed is with temps. Check out coretemp: http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/

Have you adjusted any other voltages in bios?

Have you disabled anything?

The intel sight says up to 1.4 in the vcore. I just changed things a bit now. The vcore is at 1.3875v, and the ram at 1.8v. I ran oprthos for about 15 then it crashed. Here is a list of how my computer is set up in the BIOS. This isn't everything, but what I thought might need a change. I have no idea what most of this is.

Under

CPU CONFIGURATION:

C1E SUPPORT................................ENABLED
MAX CPUID VALUE LIMIT.................DISABLED
VANDERPOOL TECHNOLOGY............ENABLED
CPU TM FUNCTION.........................DISABLED
EXECUTE DISABLE BIT....................DISABLED
SPEEDSTEP TECH. .........................DISABLED

JUMPERFREE CONFIGURATION:

FSB FREQUENCY...........230 (changed after the 15min test with orthos, was 238)
DDR2..........................767MHz (rated for 800MHz, so I have no clue what to put it at )
CLOCK OVER-CHARGING MODE.........AUTO
CPU PLL VOLTAGE..........................AUTO
FSB TERMINATION VOLTAGE...........AUTO
NORTH BRIDGE VOLTAGE................AUTO
SOUTH BRIDGE VOLTAGE................AUTO
TRANS ACTION BOOSTER...............AUTO

usually when a BSOD during windows loading it's either 2 things...low cpu vcore or ram out of sync...drop a divider or loosen it up to get it back...
