Difference between 2 models of WD passport.

I see there are 2 models available, WDXMS2500TN and WDME2500TN, the first one is slightly more expensive, what is the difference between the 2?

And is firewire faster than USB in transfer rates for external harddrives?

Didn't look up the drives (mebbe provide links when originally posting), but yes, firewire has a higher transfer rate than USB.

Same thing, but the first one is discontinued. Both are laptop hard drives in a case.

Theoretically, USB 2.0 is a bit faster than 1394, but real world, 1394 works a bit better.
