Adding a second hard drive for a second OS
Currently here's my Systems Spec:
1) ASUS P5W Deluxe Motherboard 2) Core 2 Duo 6600 Processor 3) GeForce 7900GT Video Card 4) 2 X 1 Gig Corsair Ram 5) 500 Watt Power Supply I currently have on 250 Gb Hard drive and have English Windows XP Home installed on it. I'm thinking of adding a second 250 Gb HD and installing a Chinese (Traditional) Windows XP Home on that one. How should I set the second hard drive up on my motherboard (I don't want RAID or anything like that, just 2 separate hard drives, each running a different OS) and how do I install Windows on that one? I'm envisioning the two HD as being completely separate and I think I need to press F8 or something at the beginning of the computer start-up process in order to switch between the drives, right? |

Short answer is add the second drive and make sure the current Windows sees it....
Then boot off the new XP cd and select the second drive as the target drive. The installation will create a boot menu so that when you bootup the pc you can select which one you want.
