mobo/cpu fsb question
building my first pc and the amd mobo ive been debating on has an fsb of 1000mhz, and the specs at newegg says that it supports 1000mhz cpu's. but all of the athlon 64 x2's i see are 2000mhz hyper transport. does this matter? i checked the mobo's manufacturer site and it says that it supports the cpu i was going to get. im a newb at this, was bugging me.

The HT speed is double pumped. 1000MHz is the base frequency which is multiplied by 2 to get the effective frequency, so they are both running the same speed FSB and will work together.
