If you don't plan on OCing, that's fine. But you need to let us know if you are getting a Quad or Dual core processor.

If you aren't an enthuseist, then get a dual core. Probably the E4700 will hold over well. if you have more money, go with the E8500 processor. A little fast, and better than most (all) dual cores out there... better than mine.

2GB of 800Mhz ram is perfect. Its above standard and is a great brand. I got it too. If you're doing x64, double or quad it.

The 2nd mother board is fine. I doubt you'll need 3 video cards. The Striker Extreme 1. Has grreat reviews.

I wouldn't use any Nvidia chipset board with an Intel processor and I wouldn't bother with SLI capability.

I don't think he has a choise. Aparently the make and brands are already chosen. he just has to choose the level and price.

All of the motherboards have SLI it looks like, but he doesn't have to buy 2 gpus.

I'm very picky. I will only use an Intel chipset with Intel processors. Nobody else's chipsets are as stable or reliable. I also feel SLI is more marketing hype than a performance enhancer. For the price of any two cards, you can buy one card that will blow the pair away. SLI is a rich boy's toy, for running 2 horribly expensive cards for that last few FPS.
