display driver has stopped working and has been successfully recovered
Im having a problem with my custom built PC and I was wondering if anyone here could help me out. I have a Radeon 4850 HD 512 mb graphics card and whenever I play Warcraft 3, my monitor either goes into standby/hibernate (not sure shich) or it freezes for a second and goes to the desktop displaying the message "display driver has stopped working and has been successfully recovered". I don't know what to do but I heard a lot of other people are having this problem but have no clear solution. I don't know what to do. I am russing Vista, also. Please help me. =(

We're already working on this problem, and you have suggestions here: Ok, here's the deal...

If you are using Windows Vista, turn off Windows Aero before you launch this game.
If problem fixed, it's due to OpenGL not supported under Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM) with Aero feature turn on. |
