New MB Opinions requested
thinking of getting a new MB
Only requirements 1. Quality of Manufacture 2. Support 2 double wide Vid Boards. Found this; layout looks good , Sata ports wont be blocked by vidio cards. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowIm...board+-+Retail Any one have a history with this board or the brand in general |

Have one cooler Master case that still does'nt have a MB in it.
I bought 2 last time because Newegg was running a big sale. Plus I have an unused Vista-32 cd/license, so I I said to my self. " self what the hell" have an extra 160 G. HD , wont need a DVD. So a Q6600, 2gigs of ram , 2 9800GTX+ ; one core feeds the GPU's 3 cores for SMP should net at least 10K PPD from one Box. wont be SLI each card will run a stand alone GPU2 client |

This looks good: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813188024
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131231 And don't forget to get a psu from the certified list: http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone_build_psu.html The corsair 1000 should work nicely. |

I think a P45 motherboard will work better if not running SLI since it doesn't produce as much heat as the 780i motherboards. If you ever plan on adding another 9800GTX+, the 780i motherboards would be a better option as it would allow you to run 3 dual slot video cards, and a 1000 watt power supply would probably be enough to power all of them.
I noticed that the 9800GX2 video cards are now selling for $300 and provide performance close to that of 2 9800GTXs but for a lower price.
