HP wireless multimedia keyboard

We've had this multimedia keyboard that came with the HP computer for a while and it's been working fine up until today. the volume control and mute buttons on the keyboard are no longer functioning. I looked up some troubleshooting then downloaded and reinstalled the drivers, before installing the drivers the volume buttons just didn't do anything, after reinstalling the drivers now the buttons display volume controls but it has no effect. we're running vista premium 32-bit. any help GREATLY appreciated, i've looked everywhere and found no solution and i do not feel like trying to go through HP customer support because i can already see that that's going to be a nightmare.

Might want to reinstall the audio drivers too.

Could try to uninstall and reinstall the multimedia keyboard drivers as well.

If that fails, you might want to try a different keyboard.

did it all, reinstalled the audio and keyboard drivers but still having the same result. I recently went to a website (before this problem started) and downloaded a registry cleaner, it seems that this problem along with some of my drives disappearing like my memory stick reader started after i did the registry cleaner. is there any way to go back to default with my processes and maybe that will remedy all of this?

What exact registry cleaner did you use, and did you allow it to make backups of what it removed?

If you didn't back up the registry, you might to use the system restore feature and go back to a date before you did the registry cleaner.

See if that helps.
