Bluetooth mouse disconnects when a USB storage device is removed
I am using a sony vaio laptop that comes installed with the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack software. I use a Kensington bluetooth presenter mouse.
Whenever I connect a USB storage device, which could either be a thumb-drive or an external harddrive, then unplug it from my laptop after "safely removing the hardware" my bluetooth mouse stops working. The bluetooth icon in the taskbar says that the mouse is still connected, but the mouse pointer will not respond to any of my actions. I was wondering if I could install different drivers for my bluetooth device (other than Toshiba Stack). If not, how can I fix this problem? |

Bump. Still having the same problems.
In order to reconnect the mouse, I need to turn off and on my wireless adapter that controls both my wirelessLAN and Bluetooth as well as turn off and on my mouse. |

Try a different wireless mouse. One that's not bluetooth.
Or a wired mouse.

Constants: -My kensington presenter bluetooth mouse -Vista -My Sony Vaio Laptop -No reformatting On that note, I tried a wired mouse and it worked fine when I tried plugging/unplugging usb devices. I havn't tried other non-bluetooth wireless mice yet. Last edited by Tokenekie; 01-27-2009 at 02:15 AM. |
