IBM T60 Fingerprint Scanner not reading

Hello all!
I have a IBM T60 laptop with the internal fingerprint scanner. A little while ago, it stopped working for no apparent reason.
It shows up on my Device Manager window without any yellow triangles or red "x" or anything.
When I swipe my finger, it tells me to attach the device (well it must be attached to detect my swipe, right?)

So I am just a little baffled.

I think my next step is going to be to delete all my USB stuff from the device manager and see if it "rediscovers" the missing componenet.

Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Jackyl71

Try reinstalling the drivers or do a system restore to see if any changes were made to cause the problem.
