usb hard drive
I recently purchased a USB case, which I'm trying to use as a portable USB hard drive. I've reformated & partitioned the drive and installed the drivers for the case, but I'm still unable to access the hard drive. The USB drive appears in the Device Manager and is working correctly. I've checked with the manufactor and the drivers are up to date. My problem is that in Windows Explorer the USB Hard Drive does not appear. I took the drive out of the USB case and connected it to my pc through a controller card and my Pc see's the drive in Windows Explorer. I've also checked the System Information settings and the drive doesn't seem to be a problem. Anybody got any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? I'm using Windows 98, and connecting the USB Case through a self powered 4-port USB hub.
