I am trying to install a new hard drive. Putting it into the case was easy its after I turn it on. I hit F2 and F12 to set boot sequence. However after selecting F2 or F12 it will not go too the option of changeing boot sequence. What am I doing wrong? Do I need bootup disk?

Im not sure I understand exactly the problem. It would help if you gave more details. Is the drive SATA or IDE? What are your other drives, SATA or IDE? Will it be used as a secondary drive or the drive the operating system is installed on? Depending on how your BIOS is setup, you may have to dig into more to find the option to change boot sequence or prioritize the hard drives. Also remember to save your changes when you exit BIOS.

What is the make and model of your motherboard?
Different motherboards have a different key that you have to tap in order to access the BIOS setup. You should be able to catch the key required during the boot up process even if the screen flashes by quickly. |

F2 and F12 sounds like Intel or Dell motherboards.
