fried mobo?

Ok. XFX 680i LT mobo, 6600Q intel cpu, 4 GB crucial ballistix RAM, bfg 8800gtx-768 vid card sound blaster Xfi xtreme gamer sound card, sata HD. This build is about a year old.
'Turned it on a couple of days ago and nothing - black screen. Checked the connections to HD, reseated vid card, reset CMOS, pulled and reseated CMOS battery - still nothing. I even removed CPU - thinking if it was processor it would at least post to bios or dos prompt - nothing.
I'm guessing the mobo is fried. Any advice?

Beg steel or borrow another PSU and try that first before you go buying a new mobo

It can still be a bad psu even with the mb lights on, and the fans spinning.

Its no surprise the PSU is junk, Ultra PSUs are generally no good.

Hrm - no joy. The mobo doesn't have a vga or dmi port on it - so that makes things a bit more complicated. A friend of mine is willing to let me try his extra cpu and vid card to check those off the list.
