SATA Optical Drive & HDD's together?

Hello,

My new build will commence soon, but since my last build things have obviously changed a bit. My current system uses an IDE based optical drive and SATA HDD's. This was easy because my Optical drive and HDD's connected to different controllers.

Now, my new system will have both optical drive and HDD's using the SATA interface. My question is simple really; Can I connect the optical drive AND the two SATA hard drives I have to the ICH10R controller (6-SATA ports) using RAID 1 for the two HDD's ?

I am not sure if there will be a problem doing this.
