Lightbulb size of HDD changes performance?

Hey guys I am using a 150gb hdd and want to upgrade to 500 gb. Buy having something this big will this effect the time/speed of my computer? because it needs to load a bigger hdd? or no, its just like any other hdd just that it has more space?

Some of the newer larger capacity drives perform even better than older smaller drives, they have more cache and other features. It won't be any slower you will just have more space.

A larger drive may take longer to "find" the data but you'll never notice it.
