driver for ts h552d
I had my old computer crash and had to replace drive. I have it back up and running but dvd drive wont read dvds. I dont have original backup disk and need the driver. the driver in it now is the one from microsoft. I got a driver from a site but it is a bin file and the update is looking for inf files. any help would be appreciated. my system is win xp sp3

I doubt a new driver will solve your problem. I've never had to install special drivers for optical devices. Windows has them built in. More likely the drive has failed.

No drivers should be needed. What was the jumper pin setting (Master-Slace-CS)? Diod you set it the same as the jumper pins on the old drive? Did you connect the power cable and the IDE/SATA cable?
