Roccat Mouse - Scroll Wheel Issues

I recently bought a Roccat Mouse from Ebuyer, com and I have to say I was very impressed with the product up till now.

I use the scroll whee button to speak to my friends on VOIP but when using it seemed to have become dislodged and its really loose and no longer scrolls down the page etc.

I have read up on some forums about this being a major issue in the mouse and I was just wondering if any of you had experienced the same or similar problems?

Any help, quick fixes most apreciated.

Thankyou.

Rob.

I've had this exact same issue and I agree it does seem to be the mouse's worst fault. I bought mine in mid December and have recently returned it to the retailer, who are shipping a replacement unit.
I use the middle scroll wheel for Left4Dead, but found the scroll wheel was quite easy to move from the start. At one point it just stopped scrolling altogether like yours.
I'm hoping the next one is better, I'm certainly not using the mouse in an unusual way.

I d aren't touch it incase it goes ago so I have since replaced my 'talk key' taking some getting used to but I'm sure as long as I don't overuse it, it will be fine.

My theory on the whole design fault is that because it has left and right buttons on the scroll wheel which you have to tilt to one side to press it has a bit of a weakness because the scroll wheel is dependant on more things.

All I have to wait for now is the Roccat Valo to complete my setup!

Yea I can understand where you're coming from, but paying this much for a mouse, I expect to be able to click the middle mouse button as often as I like... if it fails again I won't have any problems sending it back once more.
I'm looking for a new keyboard myself, and the Valo is very attractive, but I've decided to go with the Razer Lycosa Mirror Edition instead. The gloss finish is very appealing to me and I won't have to wait an unknown amount of time... it's become a little desperate as my left shift key is starting to go (cheap n' nasty keyboard).

Yeah I agree it shouldn't happen. I think I am going to wait it out for the valo I did consider the lycosa mirror or artic but the lcd screen really does it for me on the valo amongst its million and one other features.

Anyway good luck with your new keyboard and mouse!

Just to update... my replacement mouse also broke, within 2 days this time. This prompted me to contact Roccat and protest at this ridiculous situation.
Surprisingly I got an email back from them this morning asking for details so they can issue an RMA, which I didn't think they did (according to their website FAQ). Apparently they have a new scroll wheel in the Kone so they are accepting direct returns from customers... a new batch I figure.
So tomorrow I'll be sending it back to them instead of my retailer and hopefully this issue will be resolved once and for all. I'll update if anything interesting crops up.
