Printing Business Cards
Hey all. I'm looking for a good printer to start a small, on the side, home business for designing and printing business cards. Right now I am trying to decide on the debate between inkjet vs laser. I know color laser printers are real expensive (only found 1, which was HP, under $700). The one color laser I found had a max DPI of 600x600. Would that be fine for printing small business cards? I have a feeling i would be better off with the color laser, because I don't want the ink to run with an inkjet, but then again I am no expert on this. Thanks!

There are many color laser printers for way under $700. A few examples:

Color lasers are a lot less than $700. I have a HP 2600n, I paid $300 for it over a year ago. I love it, I wouldn't use an inkjet again if you gave one to me.
The HP CP1215 looks like a great deal at $180, but it is reviewing very poorly. I'd probably get the CP1518ni. It has an internal JetDirect so you can connect it directly to your router. I don't care for other brands, even though they are popular. |
