Purchased a new Dell Optiplex 960 with XP PRO sp3, 4gb mem. Recently attempeted to install an HP7350 printer, during install the error "Unable to start the application, the Java Virtual Machine cannot be loaded. Class not registered." I downloaded the most recent version of Java from the Sun web site, performed an unintall and install with the same results. Obtained the most recent printer drivers from the HP website, performed an uninstall and install with the same results. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Printer worked ok on my previous custom built pc running XP PRO sp2.
Thank You |

Did you install the software before turning on the printer? Do you have any virus scan programs that could be interfering?

I exited all programs and the same issue occured during the install. Sent an e-mail to HP, but do not expect any help from them.

Appears others have experienced the same issue with HP hardware installations. Check the page referenced above.
