Samsung SCX4300?
Hi all. Just bought a Samsung SCX 4300 Scanner/Laser printer combo. Did anyone try this, Or know if it can be done. The printer is a USB. I own a Netgear Print Server. Which is now connected to my old Samsung ML1710. I want to use the SCX4300 as a network printer/scanner. To be run off the print server which is hard wired to my wireless router.
Havent opened the box yet to try it. Bought from Newegg for $100 on special. Thanks Escapemax |

You can share the printer section with a print server, but not the scanner. In order to scan, it must be connected directly to a computer. If you need a laser all-in-one that's fully networkable through a print server, you have to go higher end than that, generally with a unit that has an internal print server. However, the $90 HP 6310 inkjet is fully networkable, and it has an internal print server.

1st, I dont have alot of space. Have had good experience with Samsung Printers. Maybe I'll keep the old ML1710 attached to the router. And use the new one attached to the new computer. Is it possible to share the Scanner/Printer with it attached to the one pc through the USB. Through the network connection?

Only the printer section can be shared. It is not capable of network scanning regardless of connection type.
