Mouse interference with wireless internet?

Not sure if this should go in the peripherals or the internet connections section.

I was told by a futureshop worker that bluetooth actually interferes more with a wireless connection, thought it would be the other way around. Looks like everything runs on 2.4ghz connections which I think is what wirless internet runs on, correct?

My connection is already a little feeble; I was wondering what wireless mice are considered the best in terms of minimal connection interference?

Yes, both Bluetooth and 802.11b/g/n use the 2.4 GHz band. I've used a Microsoft 5000? Bluetooth wireless mouse with a WiFi-networked PC and noticed no significant interference one way or the other. The WiFi connection was weak enough that I was using a +10dBi antenna to get the signal strength up to 3 out of 5 bars. I'd say pick a mouse that feels good to use and try it: I'll bet you won't notice any interference.

I'd be curious to hear about your experience so please follow up with how it works for you.

Why not get a cordless rig that does NOT use the 2.4 GHz band to be safe? My sister just bought a Dell Studio Hybrid which uses a 2.4 GHz (not bluetooth) mouse and keyboard and it's killing the wireless big time in her house.

I was under the impression that all wireless peripherals were 2.4ghz?

I couldn't find any that said otherwise when I was in futureshop...any suggestions glc?

Most of the Logitechs I've worked with are 27 MHz.
